The Jimmy Swift Band’s sound is a fusion of the best in both rock and electronic music. The result is the creation of something different than anything else, a style uniquely JSB. Their live show is a frenzy of sweat, blood, dancing, and thrashing – all to hypnotic rhythms and an unrelenting energy that is both addictive and unstoppable.

This June the JSB launch a new live album version of their earlier 2009 DVD release, JSB - Live At The Marquee. Initially available only during performance dates, this new album carries with it all of the excitement and energy that has become known, loved and expected of the JSB across Canada and beyond.

The band is currently in session recording their fourth studio album scheduled for release in the fall of 2010. For this project the band has embraced even further the electronic elements that have always been a big part of their live show's popularity while holding strong to their love of dirty rock and roll - its Daft Punk on Jaggermeister – Iron Maiden on Ecstasy…

The Jimmy Swift Band is truly an anomaly within the music industry - a truly independent band that have forged their own path yet have made a living playing music. On stage their tireless energy has always been focused on the audience – on turning a Saturday night concert into an unforgettable experience. The Town Heroes are a Halifax Based alt-rock duo crafting catchy, lyrical, hard-hitting, anthemic songs that sound like a party you wish you were at.

Although minimalist in terms of numbers, their sound is anything but that. Self described as “The most noise two Cape Bretoners can make”, that noise is a cascade or passion, urgency and belief in their songs. On stage they move like intense caricatures-soaked in sweat and pushing every chord, note and beat to the limit. A structured wall of sound emerges; familiar yet distinctive.

Their songs are an honest approach to the trials and tribulations of life, taking into consideration small town values, coming of age, intriguing people encountered, friendship, hope and the various conflicts that arise from a jobless island and its steady outflow of people.

After releasing their first EP, ‘This Way’, in 2008, the band received radio play across the Maritimes, a top five appearance on the East Coast Countdown and were finalists for the RadioStar Song Writing Competition in the Maritimes. Following a consistent string of gigs throughout Nova Scotia and garnering accolades for their passionate, energetic live show, they shared the stage with acts such as Slowcoaster, The Stanfields, Carleton Stone Drives the Big Wheel and Three Sheet.

TTH released “Birds and Fear” in May, 2010. The Album is a 13-song collection of clever, well-crafted songs about home, leaving and what you see once you’ve left. Their first single, “Hit Potential”, is currently in regular rotation at various stations in Nova Scotia.
